Milton James Drummond Seaford, Delaware Obituary

Milton James Drummond

Milton James Drummond, Jr., was born on November 5, 1950, in Salisbury, Maryland, to Milton and Evelyn Drummond. He spent his childhood in various parts of Delaware, but Milford, Delaware, is where he called home. Milton was the eldest boy, but the middle child between Barbara and Anthony Drummond. Milton or “Butt”, as many of his loved ones knew him, was raised in the church and dedicated his life back to God, at the ageof 16. He was a Youth Minister and was a part of the church band, playing the guitar and the drums. He spent endless hours attending church with his immediate family and playing with his siblings and cousins. As dedicated as Milton was to serving God, he was deeply committed to serving and protecting his family as well. Milton and his brother, Anthony, spent countless hours getting lost in the woods and lifting lumber with their Uncle Murphy. When he was old enough, Milton took his years of hard lifting, servitude and discipline and put them to use in the United States Military. Milton served in the Army for 18 years, traveling to South Korea and Germany, and earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. While serving, Milton also met the love of his life, Shirley. Milton and Shirley married on March 20, 1981. This union created five beautiful children, whom they loved and worked hard to provide for. Together, Milton and Shirley showed their children the value of hard work, a love for different cultures and travelling, but most importantly, a love for God. Milton is survived by his wife, Shirley; and his legacy through their five children, Che’Lari, Jenelle, Milton III, Catrina, and Daniella, which includes 15 grandchildren, Cedric Jr., Andre, Armani, Marcus, Christian, Jenea, Shamar, Mya, Alana, Imani, Tianna, Sarah, Elijah, Jamella, and Jeffrey III aka “Tre”; and three great-grandchildren, Elena, Mariah, and Armani, Jr.
