Graveside services for Betty (Glenn) Arther, 89, Clinton resident, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in the Clinton Cemetery, officiated by Patrick Peters and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will greet guests 6:00 P.M., til 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. Betty Gayle (Hodge) was born August 30, 1930 to Claude J. and Edna Blanche (Hart) Hodge in Alfalfa, OK and passed away early Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Betty was raised on the family farm in Alfalfa and attended Alfalfa Schools. After her high school years, she married France C. Lee on December 17, 1947 in Washita County. To this union five children were born: Edwin, Lela, JT, Troy and Jack. They made their homes in the Weatherford, Colony and Hydro areas most of their married life. The marriage ended in divorce in about 1962 and Betty worked at the Mark Restaurant as a waitress and worked endless hours to finance herself through Nursing School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She married Eldon D. Glenn, Sr. on March 17, 1964 in Weatherford. With this marriage came his three children Eldon Dale, Jr., Lenora and Margie; with all eight children they made their home in Clinton. She worked as a nurse for the old Oklahoma General Hospital, the old Corn Nursing Home and became the first Licensed Practical Nurse to be hired by Oklahoma State Welfare Department to do home health. She covered five counties teaching others how to do and care for home bound patients. She later worked with her son, Troy, at the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home for the next 15 years. Eldon suffered a stroke and she cared for him for the next 13 years and after his passing, she retired. In 1995 she married Arlie Arther and they made their home in Clinton and Hydro. They enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, home decorating and entertaining the children and grandchildren. Mr. Arther preceded her in death in March 2019. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ and was involved with numerous nursing organizations. Her passion was spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eldon Glenn and Arlie Arthur; two sisters, Lavonne Bennett and Helen Campbell; two brothers, Allan Hodge and Bob Hodge; grandson, Joseph Lee; granddaughter, Melissa Lee; step-son, Dale Glenn and step daughter, Lenora Glenn. She is survived by six children: Edwin Lee and wife, Katherine, Salina, KS; Lela Farmer and husband, Rick, Hydro; JT Lee and wife, Lissa, Hydro; Troy Lee and wife, Toni, Clinton; Jack Lee and wife, Peggy, Clinton; Margie Blaylock and husband, Darrin, Piedmont; sister-in-law, Dolores Hodge of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren; Ronda Coleman and Jeff, Palm City, FL; Candy Jay, Harrah, OK; Dolli, Salina, KS; Ami Watts, Salina, KS; Krystal Lamb and Dr. Kerby, Hydro; Shae Sheehy and husband, Kevin, Alden, KS; Richard Coit, Jr. and wife, Heather, Custer City, OK; Ryan Lee and wife, Sabrina, College Station, TX; Karri Redcay and husband Claire, Corn, OK; Brandon Lee and wife, Stacey, Clinton; Taylor Stovall and wife, Catherine, Clinton; Peyton Hutchison and husband, Dusty, Edmond; Beau Lee, Weatherford; Jennifer Lee and Shane Sells, Clinton; Angie Newcomb and husband Chris, Clinton; Amanda Glenn, Phoenix, AZ; Amy Glenn Amarillo, TX; Lori Glenn Bossert, Scottsdale, AZ,; William Glenn, Phoenix, AZ; Danielle Norman and husband Kyle of Neosho, Mo; Trista Murphy and husband Brian of Oklahoma City, OK; Jason Russo and wife Laura of Oklahoma City, OK; Sharayah Fore of Oklahoma City, OK; Staci Kennedy and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
