McINERNEY, James J. “Jim” – of Burt, age 82, died on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare of Saginaw. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of James’ Life will be held at a later date. Jim was born September 16, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Neil and Kathryn (Badour) McInerney. He married Thelma Huntley on April 9, 1976 in Saginaw. Mr. McInerney retired from General Motors on May 1, 1994 with 30 years seniority. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and trips to Texas and the U.P. He also enjoyed singing, playing music, and listening to country classics. Jim produced his own country music cd’s. Surviving are: Wife, Thelma McInerney; Children: Brian McInerney, Kevin (Cathy) McInerney, Sherry McInerney,(Rose) Terrence (Shannon) McInerney, Shawn McInerney, Laurie (Kevin) Spear, Kelly (Theresa) McInerney, Bridget (Jake) Pickerd; Stepchildren: Sally Achtabowski, Fay Schackleforth, Robin (Chris) Mahoney, Harry “Andy” (Karen) Achtabowski, Alan (Nadine) Achtabowski; Grandchildren: Kyle, Christene (Ryan), Josh, Shiloh (Caleb), Travis, Ricky (Amber), Audrey, Katie, Kenton, Kayden, Kerrigan, Brandon, Bobby, and Rebekah; 3 great grandchildren; Brothers: Denis, and Leonard; Sister, Janet.
