Please be advised, due to inclement weather, the funeral service for Rabbit will still be held at 11:00 this morning, but it will now be held in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  There will be no graveside service.

Graveside services for Ernest Lee (Rabbit) Faile age 77, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. William Griggs and Rev. Danny Winburn will officiate. Friends may pay their respect at Norton Funeral Home Tuesday anytime between 12:00 Noon and 5:00 pm. The family request you come dressed casual.

Rabbit was born in Hartsville a son of the late William Lee Faile and Doris Griggs Faile. He was a member of Piney Plain Free Will Baptist Church. He retired from Sonoco Products Company after 30 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He loved to attend gospel singings and sporting events. He loved his family especially his two granddaughters who he referred to as his heart. He loved to play golf and did so as long as his health allowed him to play.

Surviving are his wife, Diane Evans Faile, Hartsville; one son, Eric (Pennie) Faile, Hartsville; two grandchildren, Brooke and Allison Faile, Hartsville; one brother, George (Lana) Faile, Hartsville; One sister, Dorothy Pontrelli, Hartsville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Harrison and Jennie Pait.
