Johnny Dale Summerfield

Johnny Dale Summerfield, 61, of Elk Garden, WV, died on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his home. Born on September 11, 1958, in Shaw, he was the son of the late Lenora Summerfield Schwinabart and John Schwinabart.

He was a stacker at Pritts Lumber Mill for many years. In addition to being with his family, Johnny enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris (Paugh) Summerfield; his children, Johnny Summerfield, Jr. of Elk Garden, Eric Summerfield and wife Olivia of Elk Garden, and Brenda Summerfield and fiance Jesse Harvey of Kitzmiller; grandchildren, Leanna Hawk, Makenna Hawk, Jacy Riggleman, Kaylee Summerfield, Aubrey Summerfield, Avery Summerfield and Adeline Summerfield; a step-brother, John Schwinabart of Mt. Storm; and a brother, Richard Summerfield and wife Kim of Felicity, OH; and numerous nieces and nephew.

A funeral service will be held in the House of Prayer, Hartmansville, WV, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 1 PM with Rev. Leslie Hipp officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. For safety, we kindly encourage all in attendance to wear a face covering, practice social distancing, and If you are sick, stay home and visit with the family in the future.

Interment will follow in the Kalbuagh Cemetery.
