<p>Donna Mae Schaible, 74, of Leola, SD, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.</p> <p>A private family Memorial Service is 2:00p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Schriver&rsquo;s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, with Pastor Sara Sorensen officiating.</p> <p>Burial is at Green Mound Cemetery, Leola, SD, at a later date.</p> <p>Schriver&rsquo;s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and also view the service via the live stream service link at www.schriversmemorial.com.</p> <p>Donna Mae Scheuffele, daughter of Fred and Christina (Treftz) Scheuffele, was born on August 12th, 1945. She was raised on a farm northeast of Long Lake, SD and attended rural school completing the 8th grade.&nbsp; She moved to Eureka, SD and worked as a waitress for the Luncheonette Caf&eacute;.&nbsp; In 1964, she moved to Portland, OR and lived with her older sister and family.&nbsp; She completed her GED at that time.&nbsp; Donna worked at Willanette Falls Hospital as a Nurse&rsquo;s Assistant.&nbsp; She met and married Dick Reeves, and together they had two daughters, Kimberly and Dawn.&nbsp; In 1982, Donna and her daughters moved back to Eureka and worked at the Eureka Community Hospital.&nbsp; She met Harvey Schaible and they got married on August 13, 1983. They moved to Leola, SD.&nbsp; She gained two stepsons, Revi and Brett.&nbsp; She continued to work at the hospital in Eureka and later she took a job in Aberdeen, working as a unit secretary at Worthmore Treatment Center.&nbsp; After 20 plus years at Worthmore, she retired.&nbsp;</p> <p>Donna was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.&nbsp; She loved her family very much.&nbsp; Donna belonged to St. James Lutheran Church and had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior.&nbsp; She loved going to church and hearing the word of God and attending Bible study with her church friends. She also enjoyed having coffee with her lady friends.&nbsp; She also enjoyed her daily walks with her special friend and neighbor, Alice Withrow.&nbsp; In November, 2019, they moved to Aberdeen to be closer for medical care.&nbsp; Donna lost her battle to cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23rd, 2020.</p> <p>Donna is survived by her husband Harvey; daughters, Kimberly and Dawn Reeves of Wenatchee, WA; stepsons, Revi (Angie) Schaible of Aberdeen and Brett (Mandy) Schaible of Leola; sisters, Inez (Cletus) Grenz and Arlys Hilgemann, both of Eureka; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much</p> <p>Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.</p> <hr /> <p><iframe allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="360" scrolling="no" src="https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/broadcast/embed/183442?slug=donna-schaible-memorial-service&amp;autoplay=1" width="640"></iframe></p>

Donna Mae Scheuffele, daughter of Fred and Christina (Treftz) Scheuffele, was born on August 12th, 1945.
