Donald Brent Sheppard, known as Donnie, Don, or Mad Dog to friends and family left this earth on May 23, 2020 at the age of 67 having lived in Spring Hill and Brooksville, Florida for the past 25 plus years. Don was born March 7, 1953 in Van Dyke Michigan to Susan (Holet) and Earl Sheppard. He is predeceased by his father (Earl Sheppard) and stepfather (Wallace Woods) and brother, Steven. He is survived by his siblings, James Sheppard of Spring Hill; Patricia Trubic and her husband, Jeff of Spring Hill; Dianna Cooper of Brandon, Terri Pullara and her husband, Philip of Homosassa; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don had lived in Trumbull, Connecticut and worked at Carpenter Steel in Bridgeport Connecticut for many years. He served in the US Army 101st Airborne Division. He enjoyed his travel to various countries, and going to Alaska and Jackson, Wyoming and often spoke about his trips and the ones that he wanted to take. Don had a love of Harley's and anything Harley! And, never say anything about the Duke (John Wayne!). He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. Graveside services will be held at Brooksville Cemetery, Brooksville, Florida on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
