Carrollton – David Alfred “Shad” Hood, 65, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020. He was born in Welch, WV to the late Alvis Otis Snow and Hazel Hood Griffin. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He is predeceased by his wife, Marie Hood; a brother; and one sister. He is survived by his four sisters, Tina Aker, Linda Cundiff, Martha Snow and Debra Roach; and a host of extended family. A graveside service will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, May 28, at Danville Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel is handling arrangements.
