Gladys Sue Bennett, 66, a resident of Turnerville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucinda Byrd, father, Bernard Middleton and sisters, Joyce Tucker and Janice Byrd. Gladys is survived by her husband of 50 years, Houston Leon Bennett; children: Houston “Bo” (Heather) Bennett of Saraland and Tammy (Timothy) Baxter of Deer Park; grandchildren: Katelyn Bennett, Leiah (Addison) Bussen, Houston Bennett, III, Eathan Bennett, Sebastain Bennett, Ashtin Bennett, Makenna Bennett, Brice Bennett, Heather Bass, Alexis Turner, Callina Baxter, and Tiffany Baxter; great-grandchildren: Masson, Rowan, Braelynn, and Knoxlie; siblings: James (Diane) Middleton of Wilmer, Mary Register of Tallahassee, Florida, Faye Whittington of Wilmer, and Myrtice Allen of Mobile as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 9700 Celeste Rd., Saraland, Alabama. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
