Silvana (Persiani) Sette, age 91, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away at Aperion Care in Highwood, IL on May 22, 2020. Silvana was born on July 21, 1928 in Trevi Nel Lazio, ITALY. Silvana enjoyed spending her childhood there until she wedded. Silvana married the love of her life, Paolino Sette in 1948. The couple began their marriage in Pizzoli, ITALY then moved to Torreangela (ROME), ITALY in the 1950's, where they raised their three children; Caterina, Angelo, and Mario. They spent nearly 20 years in Torreangela (ROME), ITALY before bravely moving to Evanston, IL to fulfill their dreams in America. Silvana was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother to her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Silvana loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her, travelling with them around the world. Silvana loved to travel back to her native homeland, spending frequent summers reconnecting with friends and family. One of Silvana’s most beloved traditions was preparing fresh home-made pasta every Sunday. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her extended family and enjoyed spending time around the dinner table with them. Silvana was the beloved wife of the late Paolino Sette, devoted father of Catterina Ciocchetti, Angelo Sette & Mario Sette. Immediate family will gather privately at the Friedrichs Funeral Home located at 320 West Central Rd, Mount Prospect, IL, on Wednesday, May 27th.
