Mr. Roger D. Chandler, age 63, of Franklin, KY, passed away Friday, May 22nd, 2020 at 8:13 PM at The Medical Center, in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Monday, May 25th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 26th from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00 PM at Hillsdale Cemetery, 7414 Blackjack Road in Franklin, KY.

Roger was born on June 5th, 1956 in Simpson County, KY to the late L.B. Chandler and the late Peggy Pinson Chandler.  He is also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Cagle. 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sheila Chandler, 6 children, Cory Chandler (Karen) of Gadsden, AL, Jon Chandler (Karen) of Franklin, KY, Samantha Carter (Jacob) of Murfreesboro, TN, Tina Jenkins (Jeff) of Lafayette, TN, Michael Stradtner (Michelle) of Bowling Green, KY and Crystal Ward of Franklin, KY; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; step-mother, Judy Chandler; 2 brothers, Todd Chandler and Jared Chandler both of Franklin, KY; 3 sisters, Rita Vaughn of Franklin, KY, Jana Hightower of Bowling Green, KY, Jolie Brown of Franklin, KY.

Roger was a retired truck driver.  He worked for Franklin Express.  Roger loved horses and working on the farm.
