Sgt. Simon Zamudio age 34, Proud U.S. Army Reserve Soldier from Carpentersville, Illinois passed away May 22, 2020 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 27, 1985 the loving son to Simon and Ma Gloria (Cervantes) Zamudio.

Simon is survived by his wife, Carina Zamudio-Ramos; his daughter, Xoe Zamudio; his siblings, Celestino Zamudio, Alicia Zamudio, Celia Ortiz-Zamudio, Cirenia Garcia-Zamudio; his nephews, Juan Cisneros, Marco Antonio Cisneros, Jose Manuel Cisneros; his nieces, Guadalupe Ortiz, Victoria Garcia, Monica Ortiz, Veronica Garcia, Marisol Ortiz and Melissa Ortiz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Simon Zamudio and also his loving mother, Ma. Gloria Cervantes VDA De Zamudio, who has just passed away on May 25, 2020.

Keeping in compliance with the current CDC recommendations regarding gathering size (please follow director's guidance, safe distancing and face masks will be required) a visitation for Simon will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Funeral services will be held privately with his immediate family.
