Joan M. Plocinski, 77, of Palmyra, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra. Father Alex Ekka and Deacon Robert Leake will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Palmyra. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with a Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Plocinski was born January 11, 1940, in Chicago to Casimir and Elizabeth Telesnicki Anderjeski. She was married to LeRoy P. Plocinski October 17, 1959 in Melrose Park, Illinois. He survives of the home. Other survivors include Daughters, Laura (Larry) Ostermueller, Quincy, Dr. Connie Kelley, San Angelo, TX; Sons, Michael Plocinski, Algonquin, IL, Steve Plocinski, Owensville, MO; Sister, Barbara Kowski, Carol Stream, IL; Grandchildren, Jennifer Gish, Brian Plocinski, Lisa Ostermueller, Lawrence Ostermueller, Jr., Nick Plocinski, Amy Plocinski; Great Grandchildren, Sophia Plocinski, McKenzie Gish, . She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Plocinski was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was formerly active with the Ladies Quilters Guild of St. John's in Bem, Mo. She also was a former Girl Scout leader in areas they lived in Illinois as well as participation in the Busy Bee's Homemaker's Club of rural Owensville, Mo. Joan loved to crochet as well as cook and bake for her family. She was a gifted pianist who loved to share her music and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.
