Mark Anthony Ledbetter II

Mark Anthony Ledbetter II passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Saturday, May 16th in Sag Harbor, NY, where he worked as a Chef at The Bridge Country Club. Mark Anthony was born in Ft. Pierce, FL on June 6th 1985. He spent his childhood in Port St. Lucie and graduated from Port St. Lucie High School. After graduation, Mark moved to Tampa to start his career in the culinary world. He spent the majority of his twenties in Tampa living his dreams of becoming a chef. Markie eventually found his way back home to the East coast where he and his mother opened a successful catering company. During the summers, Mark would travel to the Hamptons to work at his favorite place, The Bridge. Markie was a “Happy Go Lucky” guy. He loved playing golf, chess, card games and anything that did not involve the TV. The outdoors was his playground. He loved meeting people and making them happy. He had that smile that lit up the room. He loved everyone, and everyone loved him. He truly did live every day to the fullest. Preceded in death by grandparents, James Ledbetter, Evelyn & Pete Fischer, Juanita Ferguson; uncles, Kevin Ledbetter, Wayne Cruse & Sam Gerhard and aunt Sandra Lou Quigg. Survived by parents Mark Anthony Ledbetter I & Pamela Gerhard Rider & stepdad Michael A. Rider Sr; grandparents, Jerry & Lee Gerhard & Reggie Rider; siblings Candice Wilson Justice & Michael A. Rider II; aunts Maggie Ledbetter & Ann Ledbetter Bruus; cousins Rachel Bruus D’Ausilio, Becca Cox, Summer Coday & Samantha Hebert; niece and nephew Chloe & Gavin Rider and several distant cousins. Funeral services will be held from 2 - 4 pm with a viewing the first thirty minutes on Saturday, May 23rd at All County Funeral Home, 1010 NW Federal Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994. A celebration of Markie’s life will continue after, at Pamela Rider’s house.
