Suzanne O'Connell (Miller), 47, passed away on March 4, 2017, at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, CA.  She was born on January 2, 1970, in Pueblo, CO, to Harlan and Betty Lou Miller.

Suzanne grew up in Pueblo, CO and Boulder City, NV.  She graduated from Boulder City High School in Boulder City, NV, in 1988.  After high school she attended college at University of Nevada Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, NV, where she received two degrees in Human Resources and Management Information Systems.

In December 1988, Suzanne began working as a student employee for United States Environmental Protection Agency, Human Resources Management Division.  She served with unwavering dedication to Team Vegas EPA for 29 years, and contributed her talents and time to numerous agency and HR initiatives.  The recipient of several agency honor awards, she made contributions shaping EPA Human Resource operations and was a key team member during an agency transition 2007.  Her positions as a Team Member, Editor of Agency Newsletter, Team Leader, Trainer, International Assignment Program Manager, Quality Officer, and Las Vegas liaison to government agencies were among some of the professional roles that she held.

Suzanne married Richard O'Connell on May 10, 2003 in Boulder City, NV.  They were happily married for almost 14 years.  Suzanne was a member of the Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin and was editor of their newsletter.  She enjoyed traveling, wine, cooking, reading, and cross stitch.  For those that knew Suzanne, it was evident how close to her heart she held her unwavering faith, love for her family, friends, and EPA colleagues.

Suzanne is survived by her spouse, Richard, of Henderson, NV, her parents, Harlan and Betty Lou Miller of Boulder City, NV, her brother, John, (Leanna), Miller of Boulder City, NV, and nephew, Stephen Miller of Norfolk, VA.

A visitation will be held at Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, NV, from 6pm to 8pm on March 14.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Community, 1399 San Felipe Dr, Boulder City, NV, at 10am on March 15, 2017.  A reception will follow.  The family will be greeting friends and relatives at the church at 9am.  Burial will follow at Boulder City Municipal Cemetery, 501 Adams Boulevard, Boulder City, NV.
