William Edwin Ethridge

William Edwin Ethridge, 82, of Moncks Corner, passed away April 16, 2016. Born in Caldwell, KY, he was the son of the late William Ethridge and Bessie Cook. Mr. Ethridge served his country proudly in the United States Navy, retiring after twenty years of service. After his military service he worked as a truck driver for many years. He loved cat fishing and serving in the American Legion Honor Guard. Mr. Ethridge will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children, David Ethridge and wife Lisa of Summerville, Tina Thompson of Moncks Corner and William Ethridge of Missou ri. Mr. Ethridge is also survived by three grandchildren, Scott Thompson and Hoytt Ethridge, Cassandra Ethridge and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow with military honors in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
