<p>Ruby Adell Porter Harrison, 84, died Jan. 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.&nbsp; Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Gate M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Benchmark Memorial Life Center. Mrs.Harrison was born Jan. 8, 1935, to the late Lue Albert Egnew and Tom Porter Sr. She was formerly employed with Mississippi University for Women and as a supervisor with the Columbus-Lowndes Recreation Authority&rsquo;s concession stands. She served on the Regional Housing Authority Board and the Municipal Election Commission. She was also a volunteer for the Headstart Program, PTA and Mary Holmes&nbsp;College&rsquo;s Community Education Extension. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce&rsquo;s Neighborhood Task Force and Zion Gate&nbsp;M.B. Church. She is survived by her daughters, Arva Young of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Georgia Harrison and Janelle Harrison,&nbsp;both of Columbus, Robrette Harrison Crowder and Twanda Harrison Owens, both of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Hiawatha Harrison of&nbsp;Columbus; sister, Carolyn Egnew of Columbus; ten grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
