Ada (Phifer) Bowman, 97, passed away Thursday morning, May 14, 2020, at Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester Twp., PA. Prior to moving to Meadowood in 2011, she resided in Eagleville, PA, for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl G. Bowman, in 1997. Born December 6, 1922, in East Weissport, PA, she was the last surviving of eight children born to the late Arthur and Florence (Lesher) Phifer. She was a graduate of Lehighton High School. Mrs. Bowman was employed for 47 years with Tube Methods, Inc. of Bridgeport, PA, retiring in 1996. She had formerly been employed with Tose Trucking and Summerill Tubing. She was a member of Haws Avenue United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and served on various committees. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. In light of the current pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, interment will be private at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Haws Avenue Methodist Church, 800 W. Marshall St. Norristown, PA 19401. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, jr.
