<p><br /> Clell Dewayne Barnes, age 84, of Frankton, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.&nbsp; Clell was born on December 23, 1934, in Lilbourn, MO to the late Elijah and Ethel (Sandlin) Barnes.&nbsp; He graduated from Anderson High School in 1952.&nbsp;&nbsp; Clell served his country in the US Navy, from 1954-1958, serving on the USS Boston CAG-I, which was a guided missile cruiser. On October 25, 1964, he married the love of his life Carol (Hires) Barnes.&nbsp; Clell retired in 1991, from General Motors Delco Remy after 38.5 years of service.&nbsp; He was a faithful member of Madison Park Church of God, a 50 year member of the Anderson Masonic Fellowship Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason and Scottish Rite.&nbsp; He enjoyed woodworking, carving, making pictures and playing on the computer.&nbsp; He loved spending time with his family.<br /> Clell is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Carol Barnes, daughter, Pamela Barnes both of Frankton, sister, Lena Dehority of Indianapolis; a brother, Donald (Linda) Barnes of Anderson, brother in law, Thomas Hires of Frankton, and several nieces and nephews.<br /> Clell was preceded in death by his parents,&nbsp; Elijah &amp; Ethel Barnes and a brother, Loyd Barnes and a brother in law, Joe Dehority.<br /> Cremation will take place with a memorial service for family &amp; friends beginning at 6:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Harper &amp; Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton with Pastor Tom Malbone officiating.<br /> A gathering time for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Harper &amp; Dunnichay Funeral Home.<br /> In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association.<br /> Online condolences can be given at www.dunnichayfuneralhome.com<br /> .</p>
