Obituary
MARQUETTE, MI – Helen Emily Bouman, age 64, of Chocolay Township, entered eternal life Sunday, January 29, 2017, at her home. Born August 10, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of Walter and Emily (Kolpaczk) Osielski, Helen grew up in Milwaukee, where she met her loving husband, Michael “Corky” Bouman. They later moved to Gaylord and eventually to Marquette where they raised their three children. She always talked fondly about the twelve years she worked at the Northwoods Supper Club. Later, she and Michael started a family business. Helen was the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh. She loved preparing big meals for her family which always included her famous seven layer salad. Always the happiest when she was spending time at the family camp on Boot Jack Road in Lake Linden, she also enjoyed having lots of fun at the casino, always bringing her lucky charms. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Michael C. “Corky” Bouman; her children, Jeffery M. (Stacy) Bouman, Jesse J. Bouman; and Shelly M. Bouman; grandson, Brady W. Bouman; her loving mother, Emily Osielski; her dear sister, Kristine Osielski; and cherished companions, Rocky, Rylee, Gizmo, and Buddy. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Osielski.
