Sr. Therese O’Donnell, OP (Eamon) Longtime principal at St. Louis de Montfort School in Oak Lawn, IL from 1977 – 2002. Loving daughter of the late John William and Theresa (nee Bamberger) O’Donnell. Beloved sister and proud aunt of her nieces and nephews. Truly a friend to all. Sister Therese’s ministry led her to teach in several schools in the Midwest region: St. Rose of Lima, Milwaukee, WI; St. Lawrence, Faribault, MN.; Holy Family, Whitefish Bay, WI.; Nativity BVM, Monominee, IL; and St. Mary, Appleton, WI. She also served as principal at four elementary schools; St. Basil, Chicago, IL; Nativity BVM, Monominee, IL; Blessed Sacrament, Madison, WI; and St. Louis de Montfort, Oak Lawn, IL. She earned an M.A. in Administration from De Paul University, Chicago, and served as education consultant to the Northeast Province. She retired to St. Clara, Sinsinawa in 2009. Since 2011, she has been a member of the religious community at Dominican Villa. Sister Therese was born in Chicago, IL on June 28, 1926. She made her first religious profession on February 3, 1947 and her final profession on August 5, 1950.
