Michael A Chemero

Michael A. Chemero, Sr. age 71 of Stratford, passed away peacefully Sunday January 29, 2017 in Stratford, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Chemero was born May 19, 1945 in Texas, son of the late Patrick and Peggy Ann (Mecklenberg) Chemero and had been a longtime Connecticut resident Mike was a retired carpenter and was an avid NY Giant and Yankee fan. Even with all of life's trials, Mike always had a smile. He is survived by his loving longtime companion, Celena Smith and her daughter, Katrina Lepley; his children, Jeanette, Tracy, Michael Jr., Jessica and Jason; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, William Chemero and his wife April of Sherman; one sister, Peggy Ann Kiley and her husband Tom of Broken Arrow OK., and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Chemero Jr. and a sister, Jeannette Chemero. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Gregory's Church, 5 Tamanny Traill, Danbury, CT for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may visit with his family Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
