Mary Louise Parker Patterson, 67, of Marietta, OH, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1949 in Marietta, OH to the late William Cary and Betty Jane Eddy Parker. Mary graduated from Newport High School in 1968 and went on to work 23 years as a clerk at the Washington County Commissioner's Office before retiring in 2000 due to multiple sclerosis. She was a caring and devoted mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Todd Patterson; daughter, Jody Barnhart; three grandchildren, Cara Saxton (Justin), Natasha Shank and Christian Shank and a great granddaughter Madison Saxton; two sisters, Shirley Holsu, Vikki Swartz; two brothers, Patrick Parker and Robert Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Allen Patterson; two sisters; Carol Diddle and Deborah Riggs and a brother, Richard Parker. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Pastor Garry Hogue officiating.
