Lucille J. Fisher (Rousselle) Obituary

Lucille J. “Lucy” Fisher (Rousselle), 89, of Shelburne, VT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.  She will be missed by all that knew her.  She was born on April 20, 1930 to Lionel “Ned” and Mildred (Trayah) Rousselle.  Lucy worked at the Shelburne Museum for 35 years (1960-1995) before retiring and then later worked at the Shelburne Museum “Brick House”.  Lucy took great pride in her work and enjoyed many friendships she made along the way.  Those who knew Lucy, knew of her endless love for her husband and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Lucy was also known for her beautiful hand sewn quilts, colorings, drawings of horses and her love of African Violets.  She enjoyed RV traveling with her husband to visit friends, family and spending time at race car events.  Lucy always appreciated a good western movie.  Lucy took great pleasure in having a good time with family and friends with smiles and laughter.

Lucy is survived by the love of her life, soulmate and best friend, her husband of nearly 64 years (married Mach 28, 1956), Wesley “Roger” Fisher, and their four children, Donna Pittsley of Williamstown, VT; Roger “Dale” Fisher and wife Sandra of So. Burlington, VT;  Kim Fisher of Moorseville, NC; and Wendy Clark and husband William of Weare, NH; five grandchildren, Corey Pittsley and wife Jen, Amanda Pittsley, Timothy “TJ” Fisher, Melissa Fisher and William Roger Clark; four great grandchildren, Jenaya and Marcus Flanders and Cole and Megan Pittsley.  She also leaves behind her brother Larry Rousselle and wife Barbara of Sioux City, Iowa and her sister Betty Dusablon and husband Richard of Fairfax, VT and many other extended family members and friends.  She was predeceased by her father Ned, her mother Mildred and son-in-law Ronald Pittsley.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shelburne Funeral Chapel of Corbin and Palmer, | 209 Falls Road, | Shelburne, VT 05482 followed by a Celebration of Life at Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 1233 Shelburne Rd # B1, South Burlington, VT|.  |A private burial will be held at a later date.
