Obituary

David Lee Dolan passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017, surrounded by his family and loved ones in Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lloyd & Karen Popish, and James T. Dolan. He is survived by his wife Cara (Pfauth) Dolan, daughter TeriLynn Dolan & step-daughter Taylor Schreckongost, father Wayne Dolan (Emerald Duran-Dolan) mother Debbie Breese (Vince Botsko), grandmother Patricia Dolan, brothers Bryan Butts, Jacob Dolan, & Jared Dolan, aunts Terri and Denise Popish, Kathy (Anthony) Pougnet, uncles Charles (Lianne) Popish, Jim (Janie) Dolan, Bill (Barbara) Dolan, & Kevin (Rhonda) Dolan; and numerous cousins & friends. David was born in Alamosa, CO on December 3, 1976 to Wayne Dolan & Debbie Breese and grew up with his brothers & cousins in the Denver area. On May 29, 2009 he married Cara (Pfauth) Dolan as he felt she was truly the one for him. At the time they met, Cara already had her daughter, Taylor, and David viewed her as his own; treating her with the utmost care and love that any father would. On January 8, 2011 they welcomed TeriLynn to the world and this was truly David’s rock in life. He cared for his two daughters more than anything in this world; teaching them life lessons, braiding their hair, and constantly bragging to family & friends about their accomplishments. He truly loved his girls! Aside from his caring & loving side, David was an extremely loyal friend to many and always the life of the party! Always quick to tell a joke or poke fun at someone, he never took life too serious, and to those close to the family would say he took after his Grandfather, Lloyd Popish, in that respect. David was an exceptional artist and would usually be creating a drawing for someone or developing tattoos for people wanting custom ink. He was also an automobile enthusiast and would love to drive fast cars! Most recently, David worked in the oil fields providing for his family. David will be remembered most for his incredible sense of humor, always finding the funny side of any situation, and the love he had for his family and friends; both immediate and extended. David loved many and is loved by many. He will surely be missed and his legacy will live on in the memories of those who were privileged enough to know him best. David lived fast and touched many. David’s Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00 AM on January 21, 2017 at Hyland Hills Golf Course located at 9650 Sheridan Blvd. Westminster, CO 80031. A brunch reception for family and friends will immediately follow the service. Please come and share your memories about David!
