Wieger, Andrew C. April 16, 1937 – January 15, 2017 Age 79 Beloved husband and father, whose thoughts and words will always be with those that love him. Andy proudly graduated from Omaha South High School and served in the United States Army. After the death of his father, he was honorably discharged to return home to support his mother. Andy was an Omaha Police Officer for ten years and thereafter owned several successful businesses including Andy’s Bar in Millard. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Reita Wieger (Lang) Children Karen Semisch of Omaha (Doug), Sue Wieger of Tempe, AZ (Sheila), Ed Wieger of Omaha (Lynette), Chuck Wieger of Jacksonville, FL, Bernie Wieger of Leawood, KS (Deb), Cathy Mertz of Omaha (Walt), Lori Luers of Lee’s Summit, MO (Alex) Grandchildren – Matt Semisch, Ben Semisch, Tim Semisch, Daniel Wieger, Claire Wieger, Michael Wieger (Hannah), Olivia Wieger, Erin Mertz, Laurel Mertz, Drew Mertz, Ashley Richards Great Grandsons – Keaton Andrew, Emmett Wieger Proceeded in death by parents Andrew and Anna, Sister Mary Ann Novotny, and step-brother Tony Fejt. The Wieger family owes a tremendous amount of gratitude to the staff at Tranquility Way at Douglas County Health Center for their tireless efforts, compassion, professionalism, and care of Andy during his treatment for Alzheimer’s. VISITATION: 5-7 PM Thursday, January 19 at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel, 6505 S 144th St. with a Vigil Service at 7PM. MEMORIAL MASS: 10:30 AM Friday, January 20 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 5801 Oak Hills Dr. Interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
