Jerry Wayne Beck, Jr., 62, of Henderson passed away on January 14, 2017 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Henderson to the late Jerry Wayne and Patricia Ann (Wimber) Beck on April 11, 1954. Jerry worked at Beck's Service Station and Beck's Service Center for most of his working life. In his retired years he spent much of his time helping to maintian the facilities at Watson Lane Baptist Church, where he had grown up and then married the mother of his children. He enjoyed metal detecting, treasure hunting, auctions, fishing, and a good meal with an even better dessert! He was a kind hearted, giving and gracious man, who truly loved his family and saw the good in everyone. He often collected and gathered things for those less fortunate. He found happiness in the smallest of things including animals and babies. He had a deep appreciation for life taking very little for granted. He is survived by 2 children: Shannon Hendricks of Henderson, KY and Jarrod Beck(Twila Fowler) of Evansville, IN; 1 sister Terri Austin (Dickie) of Henderson, KY; 4 grandchildren: Marleigh Hendricks, Mason Hendricks, Lanson Hendricks, and Cameron Buckman; and 2 nephews: Brian Austin and Drew Austin. Funeral serviced will be held at Watson Lane Baptist Church on Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 11:00AM with Bro. Brad Harrison officiating.Visitation will be held on Tuesday 3:00-8:00PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson and Wednesday 9:00AM-service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Jim Hanley, Calvin(Junie) Beck, Wayne Beck, Mason Hendricks, Brian Austin, Drew Austin, Dickie Austin, and Frank(Pug) Poole. Burial will be held at Smith Mills Cemetery.
