Mrs. Cammie Brewer McIntosh Obituary

Mrs. Cammie Brewer McIntosh, 66, of Burnettown, SC, wife of thirty years to Mr. James E. McIntosh, entered into rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017, under the compassionate and loving care of Belinda Jones and Regency Hospice, in the comfort of her home. Born in Augusta, GA and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she as a daughter of the late McClain Brewer and the late Virginia Alford Brewer Redd. She was a member of New Hope Gospel Chapel and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #6, Aiken, SC. She worked at the Aiken County Detention Center for twelve years, where she as First Shift Supervisor and retired from University Hospital after eighteen years of service as a Patient Care Representative. Following her retirement form University, she went to work at Walmart. Cammie enjoyed shopping at Walmart, fishing, crocheting, cooking, going to the beach and loved going to the mountains. In addition to her husband, family members include her children, Troy M. Smith and his wife, Jacque, Destin, FL, Betty L. Mack and her husband, Carey, Beech Island, SC and Kenny Smith, Burnettown, SC; siblings, Johny Brewer, Lincolnton, GA, the late Jimmy Dale Alford and the late Virginia Maxine Kent, nieces, Connie Frances Moore, Bath, SC and Karen Kent, North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Carrie Lynn Mack, Dylan Gene Mack and Matthew Dale Smith and a great-grandson, Skyler Andrew Dabbs. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 2 o'clock in the chapel. In accordance with her wishes, Cammie will be cremated following the service. Due to Cammie's love for animals, if you should desire to do so, memorials may be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare. (www.letlovelive.org)
