Kay H. Gouine

GOUINE, KAY HOLMES of Keego Harbor; passed away on January 14, 2017 at the age of 82; Beloved wife of the late Richard Gouine and the late Roxie Holmes. Cherished mother of Mardel (Dan) Hammond, Susan Wallet and Scott (Donna) Holmes. Dearest grandmother of Tobi (Kyle) Frost and Korey (Mike) Ladd. Adored great-grandmother of Danielle Gorsline and Kylee Ladd; Preceded in death by her brother Wayne McGehee; Special friend to her sister in law Ruth McGehee. Kay will be deeply missed by her beloved neighbors, whom she considered part of her family. She was a member of the Pontiac Waterford Elks Lodge #810 and was a past long time member of the Oakland County Boat Club. She was employed at the UFCW Local #876 and worked on the Board of Review and the Election Committee for the City of Keego Harbor for many years. She also enjoyed playing card games, visiting the casino and quilting. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment Pine Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

I'll miss you, Kay. You always remembered every birthday, anniversary, etc., with a card. I have many fond memories of good times with you. Keego Harbor's loss is heaven's gain. Till we meet again.
