Doctor Reverend Luckner Lorient age 81 died the 5th of April at Atrium Rehabiltation after a short illness. A private funeral service will be held this Monday 27, April at Grants Daniel Jean Funeral Home, follow by internment at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wyandanch New York. Pastor lorient was born on 13, June 1938 in Cap-Haitien, Haiti to Norvilus and Marie Philostine Lorient. He gained a theology degree from Cap-Haitien Seminary in Haiti in 1958 and later gained his Ph.D. degree from New York University, New York. He had a very successful career as a pastor and obtain his own church Eglise Baptiste Clarte Celeste. Pastor Lorient was heavily involved in the local community working with immigrants and was humbled to receive a proclamation from the New York City Senate. Pastor Lorient was also the vice president of the Baptist Pastor Association of New York. He was married to Marie Ange Senecal they had three children Samuel, Mary Ann and Daniel. He later on remarried to Marie Lourdes Manigat. They had one child Sarah. He is survived by his wife Marie Lourdes Manigat, his four children Samuel, Mary Ann, Daniel and Sarah, his ten grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Samantha,Christian, Philip, Myra, Edward, Nathaniel, Abigail and Arielle. His Brothers Jack, Rene, Joshua and Heriveau. And a I host of nieces and nephew.
