His family later moved to Birmingham, AL, where he attended Parker High School and performed in the marching band, playing drums. At an early age, Judge joined Peace Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL, and at the age of nine, Judge began writing sermons, and his pastor would occasionally let him read them during church service. Judge loved to sing, and he was a member of the church choir where he served faithfully, until he joined the United States Army. After an honorable discharge from the Army, Judge moved to Rochester, NY, where he married and had three sons, Micah G. Roberson, Christopher Noah Roberson, and Curtis James Roberson. He also had two stepsons, Walter Weems and Rory Weems. Judge later became a member of the House Of God Church and was called into the ministry in Rochester, NY.
