Leslie Duane Ericson

Leslie “Les” D. Ericson, age 85, of rural Nevis, MN passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Care Age Assisted Living in Park Rapids, MN. He was born on July 18, 1934 in Pepin, WI the son of Oscar and Edna (Olstad) Ericson. His early years were spent in Wisconsin and North Dakota. His parents eventually settled in Watford City, ND. He served in the Army after graduating from Arnegard High School then moved to Nevis, MN where he owned and operated a welding and fabricating shop for more than 50 years. Les was a quiet man. A hard worker, he was most comfortable working in his shop. He would visit North Dakota at least once every year to see his mother and siblings. He enjoyed reading, hunting, and he loved ice cream! Les is survived by his nephews, Harlan Rolla, Jr. of Williston, ND and Conrad Rolla of Watford City, ND; his nieces, Carol Abbey of Val Valle, TX and Hope Kovaloff of Mandan, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Vernon Ericson, Lytle Ericson, and Carol Rolla. Services are pending. Arrangements by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids.
