Marilyn V Giordano Obituary

Marilyn Victoria Giordano, 89, of Lavallette, NJ passed from this life, Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Marilyn was born June 15, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey to the late James and Lucy Pariso. In 1951 she married Anthony, to whom she was happily married for 66 years. They moved to Union, NJ, where they raised their three children and retired to their Lavallette beach home in 1996. Marilyn was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Anthony and a fun loving mother, sister, and friend. In her high school year book, she was known as a ‘firecracker’. She was a wonderful and effortless cook. On Sundays she always made a gravy and her 1pm dinner was a must attend! Marilyn was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business for many years. She was actively involved in her children’s school, PTA, Mother’s Club and their sporting events. Her interests were vast and she was a bit of an adverturist, organizing trips with her "club" friends to Atlantic City. She loved playing blackjack and roulette in AC and going to Monmouth Raceway when it was open. A sports enthusiast, Marilyn rarely missed watching the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont, The Master's, Super Bowl and her beloved Yankees. She enjoyed playing cards and board games as well as time on the beach with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Anthony, sisters, Eleanor Englert, Pauline Possiel and Ann Benedek. She is survived by her sons, Anthony and his wife Mary Beth of Lavallette, NJ, her son Thomas and his wife Georgette of Ann Arbor, MI and her daughter Ellen Mautner and her husband John of Saint Marys, GA. She had 7 grandchildren whom she adored and 5 great grandchildren. Arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Highway 35 N, Lavallette, NJ.
