The actual date of death is listed below within the obituary.* Steven Randall, 71, of Gilman and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines with his family at his side. At this time cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Satuday, September 4 under the direction of his family at the Randall Shop, 2979 310th Street Gilman, Iowa from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. with a time to share memories at 1:30 PM. Steven Luther Randall was born July 23, 1948 to parents Robert and Doris (White) Randall in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the oldest of four children born to the family. Steven attended school in the Marshall county area and graduated from LDF (LeGrand Dunbar Ferguson) in the class of 1966. He then went on to attend the University of Iowa to receive his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. Steven graduated from the University of Iowa in the class of 1971. On June 5, 1971, Steven was united in marriage to his wife Ann Peters in Columbus Junction, Iowa. The two began a family together raising three daughters. Steven worked as a pharmacist for Maydrug in Illinois, Cunningham Drug (Grinnell), Randall Pharmacy (Gilman, Gladbrook, and Marshalltown), as well as EconoFoods in Marshalltown. They moved around the area for a period of time before settling down on the family farm in Gilman in 1981. Along with his pharmacy career, he farmed and raised pigs, sheep, and cattle. Steven was an active member in the Lion’s Club, the Gilman Masonic Lodge, and the Za Ga Zig Shriners in Des Moines. He loved cheering on his sports teams which included the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and Da Bears. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and enjoyed picking back up his love for painting. Left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife Ann; his three daughters Lisa (Tony) Nikkel, Darcy (Pete) Drury, and Kristin Randall; his grandchildren Mason, Mallory, Madden Nikkel and Cael and Dawson Drury; his three siblings Mark (Linda) Randall, Mary (Marley) Davis, and LeaAnn (Dudley) Henry. In death, Steven is rejoined with his parents Robert and Doris Randall.July 23, 1948 - August 30, 202107/23/194808/30/2021
