Marie Berlingeri, of Newburgh, formerly of Valley Cottage, entered into rest on Saturday, March 28, 2020. She was 93. Daughter of the late Dominic and Sara (Cosentino) Cosentino, she was born on April 12, 1926 in Bronx, NY. Marie was a retired clerk with the Clarkstown Town Clerk’s office. She was a Candy Striper during WWII, and a member of the Red Hats Society. Marie was an avid reader, exceptional cook, she enjoyed knitting and had a great sense of humor. Survivors include a son, Mark Berlingeri and his wife Susan of Newburgh; a daughter, Laura Williams of Newburgh; three sisters, Gloria McGowan of the Bronx, Diane Gentile of Long Island and Theresa Ferraro of Mechanicsville, NY; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband Vincent Berlingeri; a son Richard Berlingeri; and two grandsons, David and Richard. A private burial will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
