Salvador Briones, Jr., from Chesterton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was the cherished husband of Kathleen (O'Malley) Briones and loving father of Sonia (Jacinto) Rosales, Tom Frundle, Patricia (Tony) Stark, and Jim (Judy) Funicello. Loving grandfather to Stephanie, Rebecca, Gabriela, Kailey (Fiance Sean DeLaney), Skye, Olivia, and Jamie (fiance Mikey Flood). Great-grandfather to Daizy, Natalie, Angelina, and Izabelle. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fond brother to Carmen (the late Frank) Anaya, Jorge (Isabel) Briones, and Rolando (Eileen) Briones. Salvador was preceded in death by his parents Salvador, Sr. and Carmen (nee Herrera) Briones, sister Rosa Gayton, and brother Sabino Briones. Salvador retired in 2016 at age 70 from the Ford Motor Company Chicago assembly plant. Salvador was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Services for Salvador will be held at a future date.
