Eula Mae Jones Paterson, New Jersey Obituary

Eula Mae Jones

Eula Mae Jones, also affectionately known as "Lulu" was born to the late Ennis and Eula Mae Stevens on February 10, 1951 in Paterson, NJ. She was one of seven children. She attended Paterson Public School No. 10 and graduated from Eastside High School in 1969. Eula was employed at Toshiba America Inc., Wayne, NJ and later at The Home Depot, Inc., Paramus, NJ. While growing up on Lawrence Place, Lulu met the love of her life. On January 19, 1971 she became the wife of Charles Jones and out of their union were born two daughters, Kesha and Yakima. Lulu enjoyed movies, crossword puzzles, hanging out with her daughters, cooking and baking with Madysen, playing Uno, playing softball, listening to oldies but goodies music, and spending time with her family. Lulu was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Lulu symbolized her dedication by water baptism as one of Jehovahs Witnesses and served faithfully. Lulu was known for being the life of the party, dancing at family functions, her hospitality, her banana pudding, macaroni and cheese, homemade iced tea and salads to name a few. Also, she was known for her famous bear hugs and cheery smile. However, most importantly, she will continue to be known as a pillar in her family, because she exemplified unconditional love to her entire family. Those who had the opportunity to know her will forever attest to the love, advice, warmth, and kindness she offered. Lulu was that once in a lifetime type of person that you met. Lulu departed this life on Friday, March 20, 2020. She was deeply loved and will be tremendously missed by her entire family and friends. Besides her parents, Lulu was preceded in death by her brothers Ennis Jr., Bennie Stevens, Sr., and sisters Gloria Stevens and Earline Stevens. She leaves to cherish a legacy of love and memories to her loving husband of 49 years, Charles Jones; daughters, Kesha Jones and Yakima Jones; granddaughter, Madysen Muhammad; godson, Cory Pone (Wilson, NC); goddaughters, Wakeda Leary and Taylor Moore (Paterson); sisters, Paulette Goodman (Paterson) and Deloris Davis (Clearwater, FL); brother, Paul Stevens (Paterson); sisters-in law Karen Stevens (Clifton), Cheryle Jones (Brooklyn, NY); brothers-in law Reginald (Norinda) Jones (Marietta, GA) and Gregory (Linda) Jones (Paterson, NJ); aunts, Annie Lee Allen (Jonesboro, GA), Josephine Robinson (Lugoff, SC) and Lottie Mae Harris (Milledgeville, GA). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and lifelong friends.
