William J. McCormick Obituary

William "Bill" J. McCormick, age 69 of Lincoln University, PA passed on March 25, 2020 at Christiana Care Hospital. Born and raised in Ridley Park, PA, he resided for the past 5 years in Lincoln University, PA, previously residing in Boothwyn, PA. Bill was a transportation supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Philadelphia for 28 years, retiring in 1992. He graduated from Ridley High School Class of 1969 and served his country in the Marine Corp and National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford, PA. Bill enjoyed fishing, bowling, and serving in the Marine Corp. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William A. and Elizabeth (Drennan) McCormick, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Matthews. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dolores M. (Rieck) McCormick, 3 children, Dan (Kim) McCormick, Brian (Lisa) McCormick, and Meggan (Jim) Curry, 2 sisters, Sheila Brown and Mona Selfridge, 4 grandchildren, Shaelynn Curry, Aubree Curry, Sara Dawson, and David Dawson. Funeral Services and Interment are private, due to safety concerns during the Covid-19 virus. Friends and family are invited to LIVESTREAM the Graveside on Monday at 2:00PM.
