Curtis Wayne Williams Obituary

Curtis Wayne Williams, 67, Author and Poet, and USMC Vietnam Veteran of Spring Hill blew out his final candle on Friday, March 20, 2020. Curtis was preceded in death by his loving wife Katheryn Rose Williams and will be laid to rest with her in Gardner Cemetery; after a prolonged fight with cancer. Curtis leaves behind a loving family, friends and countless lives he has touched. Curtis’s first book of poetry, “Words Puzzle Over Oddly Shaped Poem Pieces,” was published in 2015. Curtis was a man of admirable character with a vast vocabulary. Long will he live in our hearts. Here is a poem from his book, page 12. Far Above I will stand tall among the treetops, far above the needs of the selfish self I will calm those moments of quiet fear, far above is my heart in selfless love I will stand tall among the mountaintops, far above is my soul in eternal bliss I will calm those long hours of quiet fear far above the needs of the eternal self
