Gordon S. Williams, age 92, of Round Lake Beach, passed away, Friday, March 20, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 1, 1927 in Chicago to Lyle and Esther (Helphrey) Williams. On June 6, 1953, he married Dorothy Lillian Reed. A resident of the Round Lake area since 1991, Gordon previously lived in Rolling Meadows for 37 years Prior to retiring, Gordon was employed in the office of the Imperial Eastman Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ingleside. Gordon was a caring husband, loving father and cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, whose greatest joy was his large, loving family. Gordon is survived by two daughters, Candice (Steven Domalik) Robinson-Domalik and Diane Peters; nine grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Edwards, Shannon (Ernest) Molina, Jason Peters, Julie (Jason) Cottingham, Korin Peters, Travis Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Jayson Peters, Mark Peters; 8 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Sierra, Anna, Edward, Noah, Hailey, Brianna, and Lucy; and a great-great-granddaughter, Elayah. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dorothy, on June 29, 2003. In view of the shelter in place order during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gordon’s visitation and funeral service will be private for his immediate family on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Mount Prospect at a later date.
