Mary Ann Reinberger

Mary Ann (Nee Maecker) Reinberger, age 98 of Hudson, formerly of Independence, OH passed away Friday March 20, 2020. Mary Ann was the beloved wife for 71 years of the late William Charles Reinberger; loving mother of of Julia (James) Bates, Susan (Thomas) Secor and Karen (David) Hooser; devoted grandmother of William (Emily Nemeth) Bates, Lee Bates, Kim (Dale Emch) Bates, Scott (Tarry) Bates, Richard (Megan) Secor and Mary Hooser; dear great grandmother of Ben, Tara, Brooke & Miles Bates and Harper Secor; sister of the late Lois Bussell. Mary Ann was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving her country in the U.S. Army, deployed to both London and Paris; she earned the rank of Sargent, as well as the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with Bronze Star . A life long Lutheran, Mary Ann was a 50 year member of Concordia Lutheran in Independence, and the last 12 years at Gloria Dei in Hudson. Devoted to family, she loved genealogy and throughout her world wide travels with husband , family and friends, sought out records and documents to memorialize the family history. She was an avid and master bridge player, an extraordinary gardener and in the final months, no jigsaw puzzle was left unfinished for long. Her last 12 years were spent at Laurel Lake Retirement Community. Private family services and interment to be held. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mary Ann's name to Honor Flight Cleveland, 724 Coralberry Lane, Madison, OH 44057 or to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2113 Ravenna St., Hudson, OH 44236.
