Robert "Bob" W. Hines
Robert "Bob" Wallace Hines, 97 of Parkersburg, passed away March 20, 2020 at the Genesis Parkersburg Care Center. He was born May 5, 1922 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Besse (Devol) and William F. Hines Sr. Mr. Hines retired from the West Virginia Tax Department in 1986 at a Field District Supervisor. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1118 and was Governor of the Lodge in 1963. He was a long-time member of Stephenson Memorial United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. Surviving are two sons: Jeffrey Hines (Diana) of Parkersburg and Jay Hines (Beth) of Washington, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Talbot) Hines in 2008 and brothers Edward Hines and William Hines Jr. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
