Robert Dale “Bob” Zwalua, 60, of Mattawan, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Bob was born February 1, 1960, in Allegan, MI. On May 31, 1986, he was united in marriage to his best friend and love, Sharon Field in Paw Paw, MI. Bob was known for his uninhibited spirit and quick wittedness that would always leave you laughing. His family would describe him as a selfless and generous man, and a loving father. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sharon Zwalua; children, Jessica Zwalua, Michelle Zwalua and Robert (Sarah) Zwalua; brothers, Steve Evans, Jim (Cindy) Evans and Johnny Hendrickson; sisters, Pat (Bill) Webb and Cathy Healy; Uncle Virgil Hendrickson, Aunt Audrey (Dave) Evans, and Aunt Carolyn Seymore; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Betty Zwalua, and John Hendrickson. A private family service will take place on Thursday, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
