Khalil Salim Sardy took his last breath on March 20, 2020. He was 52 years old. Khalil was born June 6, 1967 in, Beirut, Lebanon to Salim and Laurice Sardy. He will always be remembered for his kindness, and how he made every person he knew feel like a dear, old friend. He was a people’s person who enjoyed speaking, dancing, nature, playing cards and he had a great sense of humor. Khalil and his family relocated to Troy, MI when he was 12 years old. Over the last 20 years, he had been living in Sterling Heights, MI. Khalil was a long time member of Life Leadership, and he worked as a behavior and business consultant for many years. He was involved in public speaking and tax advising all leading up to his main goal of Real Estate. Khalil was passionate about serving others, and he was very involved with Gift of Life of Michigan. He was an advocate for the organization participating in many events at Henry Ford Hospital, and giving speeches throughout the local region. Khalil was a lung transplant recipient himself. He founded the ACES program for the Transplant Living Community (TLC) that provided support services for lung transplant patients. Faith was also an important part of Khalil’s life, as he and his family were long time members of Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church. Khalil was the devoted father of Alisha Schley (David Frisch) and Alexandria Taylor. Proud grandfather of Fiona Anne Frisch. Beloved son of Salim and Laurice Sardy. Dear brother of Sylvia Sardy and Ghassan Sardy. Loving long-time partner to Dr. Maureen Steen. Uncle of Tania Kristy West (Brayden) and Dr. Joe A. Habbouche. He is also survived by a great many extended family: aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly. He has survived many battles throughout his life attributed to his strong will and can do attitude.
