Patricia Robinson (Lansing) Obituary

Minister Patricia Mae Robinson, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and above all, daughter of the one true and living God left her earthly tabernacle to eternally dwell in the presence of the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2020 in Washington, D.C. Age 60 years. She was born December 4, 1959 to Solomon and Bessie Robinson in Lansing, Michigan. As a child, Pat joined Friendship Baptist Church where she was an active member of the FBC Young Adult Choir, Usher board, and attended Sunday school on a regular basis. She later joined Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, currently Tabernacle of David, where she was a faithful worshiper and servant. Best known as “Sister Pat,” she passionately served in Community Outreach and even spearheaded the Love Ministry. In relocating to Laurel, Maryland, the Lord connected Pat to New Seasons Ministries as her church home and family where she continued her mission for outreach and uplifting women. Pat attended Main Street Elementary, Dwight Rich Middle School and was a graduate of Harry Hill High School, Class of 1978. She started her family and married her first love, Jesse Foreman. Pat's many talents took her to several places of employment and volunteer efforts to leave her mark. Immediately after high school, Pat was employed by the State of Michigan. Over the years Pat continued her education at Lansing Community College and Davenport University. Pat was a bright, naturally outstanding student. She later retired from Hope House Treatment Center where she was able to fulfill her passion in human services. Pat was a stranger to none, family and friend to many, and had a heart to reach whomever crossed her path. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and always had a word of encouragement. She was a firecracker with a heart of gold. She was a "keeping it real, tell it like it “T.I.” is, I got your back, standup" type of woman. Pat was an all-around extravert and you could often find her working in the community in some capacity. On the rare occasions that she found herself with alone time, she enjoyed writing, and was a self-proclaimed poet. It was not uncommon for her to send a poem of thanks or encouragement to one or all of her daughters on any given day. Pat admired her daughters. She was proud of each one of them. and would frequently boast about their accomplishments. Pat adored her grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Nana," she possessed a special relationship with each of them from birth. She enjoyed attending their school activities, football games, dance and band recitals, softball games, graduations, and any other activity that they were involved in. She rarely missed any opportunity to support them. She was the epitome of a proud Nana and was extremely vocal in her support. Pat leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters, Chaprie Robinson, Jessica (Donzell) Foreman-Campbell and Cherise Robinson; 2 grandsons, Jaris and Jaire Foreman; 2 granddaughters, Saniyah Williams and Christian Robinson; sister, Janet Robinson; brother, Terry (Pamela) Johnson; niece, Black McPheters; nephew, Lamar Robinson; forever mother-in-law, Adella Christian; forever sisters-in-law, Angela Blair, MaRita (Kevin) McKinley and Sandra Thompson; forever brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Daisy) Christian and Kevin (Twanna) Foreman; special cousin, Mary Leisa Hart; sister, Vergie Pearl; spiritual sister, Debra Knight; very special close friends, Patricia Dampier-Taylor, John Gould, Emily James, Daryl Larkins, Bonnie Morris and Jackie Summerville and many other family and friends that will sorely miss her. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Bessie Robinson, sister, Joyce Robinson and brother, Billy Robinson.
