Due to the recently mandated guidelines, there will be no services scheduled at this time for Mrs. Mary Ruth Martin. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Mrs. Martin was born in Cass County, TX on July 29, 1933 and passed away on March 20, 2020. She attended Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northeast Louisiana College. Mrs. Martin retired from the Ouachita Parish School System, where she was a Teacher’s Aide at West Monroe High School. Mrs. Martin was a member of Westlakes Seventh-Day Adventist Church in West Monroe, LA. She loved working outside in her yard and spending time with her family. Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her husband, Huey P. Martin;son, Michael Paul Martin; sister, Mattie McCary; brothers, Nalda Gilmore and Carter L. “Pud” Gilmore. Survivors include her sons, Tommy Martin and wife, Donnelda and David Martin and wife, Sara; grandchildren, Michael Martin and wife, Corrie, and Michelle Guillory; great grandchildren, Cade and Tripp Guillory, and Presley and Hank Martin; one brother, Jacob Gilmore; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
