MOUNT CARMEL — Mary M. Chapman, 90, of 114 E. Seventh St., passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Hospital. Mary was born in Mount Carmel Oct. 9, 1926, a daughter of the late Adam and Olympia (DiRenzo) Fantini. She was employed as a cashier in area food stores. She is also the former owner of the Little Nugget Antique Shop in Bristol. During WWII, she worked as a riveter in a defense factory. She was married to Robert J. Chapman who preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2007. Mary attended Mount Carmel schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was an avid antique collector. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Moyer, and husband, George, of Mount Carmel; a grandson, Bryan Toms, of Kulpmont; two granddaughters, Ronda Pollock, of Kulpmont, and Rachael Delaney, of Mount Carmel; five great-grandchildren, Carson and Sophie Shadle, Chloe Buraczeski and Mason and Tyson Toms; a brother, John Fantini, of Levittown; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Kohlenberg on Jan. 1, 2009; three sisters, Anna Waskewicz, Eva Shosh and Gloria Fantini; and three brothers, Elmer, Samuel and Fredrick Fantini. CHAPMAN — Mary M. Chapman, 90, of 114 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. funeral home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III, supervisor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the Rev. Francis Karwacki presiding. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 47 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Pa. 17851
