Jonathan Ray Thetford

Service for Jonathan Ray Thetford, 61, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 14, 2020 in Calvary Baptist Church. Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate. Burial will follow in Squaw Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Jonathan Ray Thetford passed away March 10, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born July 11, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to Willard Martin and Dorothy (Heine) Thetford. Jonathan married Kimberly Bivens on July 21, 1979 in Cleburne and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jonathan was a 1976 graduate of Cleburne High School. He was very involved with the Cleburne soccer, Johnson County Livestock Association and served on the board of directors for the Johnson County Farm Bureau for over 40 years. Jonathan loved his family and gardening but his grandsons were his pride and joy. Jonathan is survived by his wife Kimberly Thetford of Cleburne; son, Jeffrey Aaron Thetford of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kristopher Camden Thetford and Jaxsen Lee Thetford; mother Dorothy Thetford of Cleburne; mother-in-law, Kathy Jackson of Grandview; father-in-law, Leoy Bivens of Glen Rose; brother-in-law, Colby Bivens and wife Allison of Joshua and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jonathan is preceded in death by his son, Kristopher Ryan Thetford in 2000; father, Bill Thetford in 2016 and brother- in- law, Steven Lee Bivens in 2002.
