Henry L. Phillips, 81 of Coatesville died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester. He was the husband of Shirley J. Phillips, who preceded him in death in 2013. Born in Todd, NC, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mildred Roark Phillips. Henry was employed with Luria Brothers, since the age of 15, retiring as a metallurgist with 61 years of service. He was a member of Coatesville Lodge F & AM 383 and also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving him is his daughter, Sherry P. Pelet and son-in-law, Douglas; grandchildren, Timothy Pelet husband of Rachel Coccia Pelet, Christina Pelet and fiancé, Brian Kutch; great grandson, Lucas Pelet; brothers, Roger Phillips (Shelia) and Dean Phillips (Jane); sisters, Polly Phillips Eller, Jackolene Phillips Roark, and Suzie Phillips Swartzentruber (Calvin) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Pelet; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA In his memory, contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E.
