Irene Anderson, 83, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Fellowship of Olathe Church, 901 North Parker, Olathe, Kansas 66061. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas 66083 (913-592-2244) Irene was born October 18, 1936 in St. Clair, Missouri to Raymond and Opal I. (Garrison) Harleman. Irene graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1950. She worked as an assembler for shipping aviation parts for King Radio. On October 12, 1974 Irene married Leroy Anderson in Oklahoma. Before moving to Spring Hill 40 years ago, they lived in the Bonner Springs and Olathe area. Irene enjoyed art work, especially drawing. She was known for her cooking and baking as well as being an amazing seamstress, making items for her family. Irene loved to fish, go on picnics with Leroy and dance. She was a member of the Fellowship of Olathe Church and the Old Time Pickers and Fiddlers. Irene was preceded in death by her parent; son Steve Jenkins and siblings Pearl Findley and Johnny Harleman. She is survived by her husband Leroy of the home; children Peggy (Paul) Wilson, Raytown, Missouri and Paula (Joseph) Rinke, Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren: Jennifer (Steve) Hammonds, Angie Cox, Joshua (Erica) Rinke, Jordan Rinke and Jeffrey Rinke; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
